What brought Carol to the Art League?
Founder of our ceramics program. Carol has been running the wheels at Burnett Park for over a decade. Carol has been on our teaching roster since 2012 — 14 years now — working out of our Burnett Park studio.
How would you describe their practice?
Carol's work centers on ceramics and the patient material study it asks for. As Carol puts it: "You do not have to be good. You have to come back next week."
What can students expect in the classroom?
Carol runs a working studio more than a lecture. Sessions open with a short demonstration, then dedicated practice time with one-on-one feedback, and close with a brief, generous group critique. No experience is required; returning students pick up where they left off.
