What brought Krishna to the Art League?

Watercolor and natural pigment painter. Recent solo show "Impermanence" at our Murray Hill gallery. Krishna has been on our teaching roster since 2020 — 6 years now — working out of our Burnett Park studio.

How would you describe their practice?

Krishna's work centers on watercolor and the patient material study it asks for. As Krishna puts it: "Water is a teacher. You either listen or you start over."

What can students expect in the classroom?

Krishna runs a working studio more than a lecture. Sessions open with a short demonstration, then dedicated practice time with one-on-one feedback, and close with a brief, generous group critique. No experience is required; returning students pick up where they left off.
